Casa Forcello’s pear mostarda starts with ripe Italian pears that are candied before being hand-cut and mixed with potent, concentrated mustard extract. This traditional Italian condiment pairs perfectly with roasted meats and charcuterie, and also serves as a bright counterpoint with aged cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano and pecorino Romano.
Casa Forcello was founded by Paola Calciolari, with a dream of bringing the typical condiments of Mantova, Italy, based on her grandmother’s recipes, to the masses. All of the ingredients she uses are carefully selected, sourced locally, and processed at the peak of freshness using a time-consuming and labor-intensive process.
