For perishable orders, we line our shipping boxes with Tempguard - a unique, padded insulator made of 100% pre-consumer recycled paper material. We further control the temperature with recycled kraft paper fill and non-toxic frozen gel packs. In the summer months, we may include dry ice to ensure fresh delivery in very hot weather.

Note: Please join our efforts to be mindful of our environment and extend the life-cycle of our packaging, by recycling your shipping box, Tempguard liner, and kraft fill (all 100% curbside recyclable!). Store the gel packs in your freezer and reuse to keep your next picnic or road trip fare cool.

Brebirousse d’Argental is a stunning French soft-ripened sheep’s milk cheese that immediately catches the eye with its bright orange washed rind and lusciously creamy interior. Hailing from the Rhône-Alpes region, this triple-cream beauty is made by adding extra cream to already rich sheep’s milk, resulting in an incredibly decadent cheese with a fat content around 60%. The paste is ivory-colored and becomes increasingly gooey and spoonable as it ripens, developing a silky, melt-in-your-mouth texture under its thin, edible rind.

Despite its indulgent creaminess, Brebirousse d’Argental has a surprisingly gentle, nuanced flavor. It’s milky and slightly sweet, with grassy undertones and a touch of nuttiness from the sheep’s milk. There’s also a faint tang and earthiness that balances out the richness beautifully. It’s perfect spread on a crusty baguette, paired with fig jam, or served alongside toasted walnuts and ripe stone fruits.
