This luscious, semi-firm cheddar-like cheese is inspired by a luxury resort in the town of Aptos on California’s Central Coast, and we can definitely picture ourselves munching on it while looking out at the waves. Made with a blend of cow and goat’s milk, Central Coast Creamery’s Seascape has a smooth, velvety texture, with browned butter notes from the cow’s milk mingling harmoniously with the goat’s milk tangy, fruity overtones. Add it to a turkey or ham sandwich, or serve on a cheese board with nuts, apples, and cured meats.
Founded in 2012 by dairy industry expert Reggie Jones and his wife Kellie, Central Coast Creamery is a family-run business based in Paso Robles, California. With a rich dairy tradition spanning over 150 years thanks to the region’s long grass-growing season, the creamery specializes in crafting exceptional cheeses from cow, sheep, and goat milk.
