Chestnut Spread

Chestnut spread, also known as crème de marrons, is a classic French confection made from puréed chestnuts blended with sugar, candied chestnuts, glucose syrup, and vanilla extract. Smooth and gently sweet, it highlights the natural earthiness of chestnuts while adding warmth and aromatic depth from vanilla.

This spread is prized for its versatility. It can be enjoyed simply on toast, crêpes, or waffles, or used as an ingredient in pastries, fillings, and desserts such as cakes, roulades, tarts, and mousses. Its rich, silky texture also makes it suitable for layering into parfaits or folding into whipped cream and buttercreams, adding depth without excessive sweetness.
