Les Trompettes a l’Ancienne are made in the French Alps. Their beloved mushroom has been celebrated in every way in this durum wheat pasta. Shaped like a chanterrelle and flavored with dried chanterelles. The result is a pasta with a delicate woodsy, fruity, peppery-nutlike flavor. The trumpet shape holds your favorite sauce perfectly. There are so many ways to enjoy the wonderful light mushroomy flavor of this pasta - veal, pork, poultry, shrimp and lobster love its delicate earthy flavor. Equally good with red or cream sauces. Chantrelles also have an affinity with eggs, so it is no surprise that a Carbonara works well with this pasta too - we love adding fresh mushrooms to this dish to double up the mushroom flavor.
Founded in 1844, Alpina Savoie is the oldest semolina and pasta maker in France using its own durum wheat mill, "Moulins de Savoie". For five generations they have been producing their pasta on their historic site of Chambéry-Bissy in the French Alps. Since 1997, Alpina Savoie have had partnerships with farmers and cooperatives allowing traceability at each stage, from farmer to distribution. They use 100% French durum wheat.
