Fromagerie Henri Hutin is THE name when it comes to French Brie! Founded in 1922 by Henri Hutin, master cheese maker, it is today a renowned cheese exporting company, knows for its uncompromising quality. Its reputation there goes back 50 years.
Brie cheeses are known world-wide for their downy white rind and cream-colored, soft interior that oozes when at the peak of ripeness and temperature. Brie’s taste is sweet and buttery with hint of almond flavor. This version is lovingly infused with traditional French Herbs. The most prized and celebrated of all French cheeses, Brie is believed to have been created prior to the Eighth Century. Charlemagne's chronicler, Eginhard de Saint Gall, reported that the Emperor enjoyed it at the Priory of Rueil in the town of Brie in the year 774. In 1815, the Prince of Tallyrand named Brie "Le Roi de Fromages" - The King of Cheeses. With its ultra-milky interior and tender rind that is not overly pungent, this Baby Brie is a true French delicacy. This French Brie is shipped uncut in its original form. Enjoy it with a glass of champagne!
