Red Leicester cheese is known for its full-bodied and nutty flavor. As it ages, the flavor becomes more pronounced and complex, developing a richer taste with hints of caramel and a slightly tangy finish. This punchy, flavorful Red Leicester is aged for 18 months. The unique melt-in-the-mouth characteristics mimic the snow-capped peaks of Snowdonia itself, with an intense depth of flavor that is unlike anything previously experienced.

Red Leicester cheese is incredibly versatile in the kitchen. It can be sliced for sandwiches, grated for toppings or cooked dishes, and melted for sauces or grilled cheese sandwiches. Adds real depth of flavor to macaroni and cheese, Welsh rarebit, or on top of baked potatoes. Red Storm pairs well with fruits, pickles, and savory accompaniments like cured meats or crusty bread. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with complementary accompaniments, this colorful wax-dipped truckle promises to be a show-stopping centerpiece on any cheese board. This delicious cheese makes a great gift for any cheese lover.

Red Storm's exceptional quality has been recognized through various prestigious awards, including accolades from the Nantwich International Cheese Awards, Global Cheese Awards, and British Cheese Awards.

Snowdonia Cheese Company is a family business, founded in North Wales in 2001. Snowdonia creates innovative and award winning cheeses using classic bases such as Mature Cheddar or Red Leicester with refreshingly unique blends.

• Made with pasteurized cow’s milk.

What’s the best way to store my cheese?
The best way to keep cheese fresh is to store it in the vegetable crisper in your fridge. Before doing so, wrap in parchment or wax paper, then wrap loosely in plastic wrap. You can also buy our exclusive cheese storage bags, specially created to keep your cheese fresher, longer.

Unless used for cooking, we don’t recommend storing cheese in the freezer as this will alter its texture.

What is the best temperature to serve my cheese?
Remove cheese from the fridge an hour before serving, as cheese is best experienced at room temperature to enjoy the full spectrum of flavors.

How long will my cheese stay fresh in the refrigerator?
The length of time cheeses last in the fridge after opening depends largely on the type of cheese. Soft varieties tend to spoil more quickly than hard varieties. Please refer to the table below for a convenient reference:

How We Ship

FreshWave Packaging

Our products are always shipped so they will arrive at your door in optimal condition! We’ve carefully selected packaging options that have minimal impact on the environment without compromising on food safety or quality.

For perishable orders, we line our shipping boxes with Tempguard - a unique, padded insulator made of 100% pre-consumer recycled paper material. We further control the temperature with recycled kraft paper fill and non-toxic frozen gel packs. In the summer months, we may include dry ice to ensure fresh delivery in very hot weather.

Note: Please join our efforts to be mindful of our environment and extend the life-cycle of our packaging, by recycling your shipping box, Tempguard liner, and kraft fill (all 100% curbside recyclable!). Store the gel packs in your freezer and reuse to keep your next picnic or road trip fare cool.
