Our products are always shipped so they will arrive at your door in optimal condition! We’ve carefully selected packaging options that have minimal impact on the environment without compromising on food safety or quality.

For perishable orders, we line our shipping boxes with Tempguard - a unique, padded insulator made of 100% pre-consumer recycled paper material. We further control the temperature with recycled kraft paper fill and non-toxic frozen gel packs. In the summer months, we may include dry ice to ensure fresh delivery in very hot weather.

Note: Please join our efforts to be mindful of our environment and extend the life-cycle of our packaging, by recycling your shipping box, Tempguard liner, and kraft fill (all 100% curbside recyclable!). Store the gel packs in your freezer and reuse to keep your next picnic or road trip fare cool.

Mount Alice is a luscious, buttery, brie-style cheese named after the mountain peak that towers above the von Trapp Farmstead. Crafted with certified organic cow’s milk, this bloomy-rind beauty begins life as a tender, mild, and milky cheese with bright lactic and mushroom notes. As it ages, the rind ripens and the paste becomes increasingly gooey and rich, developing flavors reminiscent of cultured butter, brassica, and a gentle barnyard earthiness. At 2 pounds, this wheel is an entertainer’s dream—perfect for a cheese board centerpiece, tucked into a sandwich, or baked in the oven with preserves for a decadent, melty treat.

Since 1959, the von Trapp family has farmed their land in Waitsfield, Vermont, using regenerative agricultural practices that go above and beyond organic standards. The family—yes, that von Trapp family—settled here after WWII, drawn to the Vermont landscape that reminded them of their native Austria. Today, their third generation runs the dairy, crafting artisan cheeses that reflect both their heritage and Vermont terroir. Their cheesemaking philosophy is rooted in soil health, grass-fed cows, and hands-on craftsmanship.
