How We Ship

FreshWave Packaging

Our products are always shipped so they will arrive at your door in optimal condition! We’ve carefully selected packaging options that have minimal impact on the environment without compromising on food safety or quality.

For perishable orders, we line our shipping boxes with Tempguard - a unique, padded insulator made of 100% pre-consumer recycled paper material. We further control the temperature with recycled kraft paper fill and non-toxic frozen gel packs. In the summer months, we may include dry ice to ensure fresh delivery in very hot weather.

Note: Please join our efforts to be mindful of our environment and extend the life-cycle of our packaging, by recycling your shipping box, Tempguard liner, and kraft fill (all 100% curbside recyclable!). Store the gel packs in your freezer and reuse to keep your next picnic or road trip fare cool.

As its name suggests, Butterkäse has a buttery taste and a creamy texture that melts in your mouth. Produced in Germany, this one-month-aged, semi-hard cow's milk cheese is a great partner to a refreshing pint of lager, and can also stand up to a pint of ale. Butterkase has a pungent flavor which makes it a perfect table cheese. Its creamy texture lends itself to melting on burgers and chicken. Try it melted on a baked potato. It's a great alternative to butter and sour cream!

Wisconsin based Hook’s Cheese Company, has been producing award- winning artisanal cheeses since 1976, under the leadership of master cheesemakers Tony and Julie Hook. They are known for their commitment to quality, using traditional techniques and slow-aging methods in their historic curing caves. Butterkase is another testament to their dedication, offering a versatile, crowd-pleasing cheese that's great for cooking or just enjoying with a crusty baguette.
