Our products are always shipped so they will arrive at your door in optimal condition! We’ve carefully selected packaging options that have minimal impact on the environment without compromising on food safety or quality.

For perishable orders, we line our shipping boxes with Tempguard - a unique, padded insulator made of 100% pre-consumer recycled paper material. We further control the temperature with recycled kraft paper fill and non-toxic frozen gel packs. In the summer months, we may include dry ice to ensure fresh delivery in very hot weather.

Note: Please join our efforts to be mindful of our environment and extend the life-cycle of our packaging, by recycling your shipping box, Tempguard liner, and kraft fill (all 100% curbside recyclable!). Store the gel packs in your freezer and reuse to keep your next picnic or road trip fare cool.

Bent River is Minneapolis-based Alemar Cheese Co.’s first cheese, and the one that put them on its map. It’s a Camembert-style cheese, so it’s a bloomy-rind cow’s milk cheese with a bright white rind and a creamy, soft, yielding, spreadable, glossy texture. The flavor is rich, clean, and buttery, with mushroomy notes and an overall lusciousness that you only find in the absolute finest bloomy-rind cheeses. One bite and you’ll understand why this cheese exploded onto the scene when it was launched in 2008! It partners well with fresh fruit, dried apricots, honey and nuts, and cured meats.Add to a sandwich for an extra hit of richness.

Alemar’s cheeses are crafted in Minneapolis, Minnesota, using time-honored techniques and old-world methods. Led by founder Keith Adams and head cheesemaker Charlotte Serino, they produce a collection of French-inspired cheeses made from gently pasteurized local cow’s milk. Since its founding in 2008, Alemar has earned numerous awards and accolades for its exceptional craftsmanship.
