From the minds of renowned chef Eric Greenspan and his friend Alan Leavitt, New School American Cheese was born from the desire to bring same-old-same-old American cheese into the 21st century. They spent five years working to elevate American cheese to heights never seen before, using only high-quality ingredients: no oils, starches, isolates, or artificial flavors.
The end result is a premium American cheese that’s made with only high-quality aged cheddar, water, cream, butter, salt, paprika, turmeric, and sodium citrate to make it smooth. It’s incredibly creamy and super-flavorful, and it’s also supremely meltable, as every American cheese should be. Use it as you would any other American cheese: on sandwiches, in grilled cheese, atop burgers, with eggs, in cheesesteaks, or any other way you like. This cheese is sold in a five-pound block.
