Like cheese? Like guacamole? This controversial (but delicious) new cheese from Daily Dairy has married these flavors together! Made in the Netherlands, this unique cheese is a creamy gouda made with 50% full fat cow's milk. Daily Dairy actually figured out how to add fresh avocados to their gouda cheese by pureeing them and adding the fresh puree to the cheese just before they press the curd into shape. Lime juice, chili, tomato, onion and garlic finish off the flavor profile.
Some think it's wrong, but others think it's right. We are on the latter side of the fence. There's nothing wrong with experimenting. It's a fun flavored cheese that is strikingly green and always a conversation starter on the cheese board. We loved it simply melted over nachos, and in quesadillas, burritos... Grate it and melt to create a dip...a cheeky addition of smoky chorizo will take this to another level.
