Our products are always shipped so they will arrive at your door in optimal condition! We’ve carefully selected packaging options that have minimal impact on the environment without compromising on food safety or quality.

For perishable orders, we line our shipping boxes with Tempguard - a unique, padded insulator made of 100% pre-consumer recycled paper material. We further control the temperature with recycled kraft paper fill and non-toxic frozen gel packs. In the summer months, we may include dry ice to ensure fresh delivery in very hot weather.

Note: Please join our efforts to be mindful of our environment and extend the life-cycle of our packaging, by recycling your shipping box, Tempguard liner, and kraft fill (all 100% curbside recyclable!). Store the gel packs in your freezer and reuse to keep your next picnic or road trip fare cool.

Smoking Goose Spruce and Candy Salami is a Good Food Award–winning pork salame crafted with spruce tips, 18th Street Brewery’s American Pale Ale, Calabrian and pink peppercorns, clove, and lemon peel. The result is a bright, resinous, citrus-kissed flavor with a warm spice backbone, striking the perfect balance between old-world salumi traditions and creative Midwestern craft.

Spruce tips are the soft, young spring growth of spruce trees, traditionally used in Nordic cuisine for their citrusy, piney freshness. Smoking Goose founder Chris Eley discovered their unique flavor on a trip to Alaska, where they’re used to bring lift and brightness to rich dishes. Blended with beer and spices, the spruce tips lend this salami its signature layered complexity.

Smoking Goose is an Indianapolis-based artisanal smokehouse and charcuterie producer founded by Chris and Mollie Eley. Since 2011, they’ve earned national acclaim for their old-school craftsmanship and bold, seasonal flavor profiles. Working with small family farms that raise animals humanely and sustainably, Smoking Goose handcrafts everything in small batches, slow-curing their meats with time-honored methods.
