Most cafés and bars in Spain serve Manzanilla olives. They grow in practically every region of Spain. Olives are integral to any tapas, and these tasty Manzanillas really hit the spot! Perfect for appetizers, cocktails, and garnishing, these wonderful stuffed olives are a fabulous addition to your pantry.
These crisp, buttery manzanillas are pitted and stuffed with Blue Cheese, Serrano Ham or Chorizo. Varieties sold separately.
Serpis began with the anchovy stuffed olive. This was already a typical appetizer in Spain, but each one of the olives was pitted and stuffed by hand. Cándido Miró Rabasa industrialized the stuffing and packaging process of the anchovy stuffed olives. By the beginning of 1926 he had a pitting machine ready and that is how El Serpis Olives were born. Located in Alcoy in the province of Alicante in Spain, this line of olives is named after the Serpis river running through Alcoy.
