Founded in April 1954 by master chocolatier Francesc Agrás, Blanxart began in a small workshop in Barcelona’s Les Corts neighborhood. Agrás, inspired by the great patisseries and confectioners of Europe, envisioned bringing the best cocoa beans from Ghana, Congo, and Guayaquil to Spain. Staying true to its “bean-to-bar” philosophy, Blanxart oversees every step of the process—from selecting single-origin cocoa beans to crafting the finished bar—ensuring a deep, nuanced chocolate with unmistakable character.
