Authentic Black Forest ham (schinken) is cured in the Black Forest region, using European pork hams, sea salt and seasoned with natural spices. Naturally smoked with fir tree wood. It is finally sliced and packaged in USA.
This full-flavored, lean ham has a delicate texture, and buttery, lightly spiced smoky flavor, it is perfect on bread, with fruit, on an antipasto platter, or by itself. Wrap the slices around chicken breasts or filets of pork or beef for a savory roast. Roll it up in a cordon bleu with High Alps or swiss cheese. Try it julienned in salads, eggs, or frittatas to add hint of smoke and salt.
