Pyrénées prepares their jam with 55% figs, with the sugar balancing the fresh fig flavor of the fruit. Pyrenean cooking is based on the very best of simple, fresh ingredients. This jam is traditionally made in the heart of the Ariège, at Lorp Sentaraille in France.
Use as a base for desserts such as tarts or turnovers, a topping for ice cream or on its own, hot or cold served with a dollop of whipped cream. Spread on fresh toast or bagels . Marvelous with a foie gras but also red meat and duck fillet. Makes an ideal accompaniment to soft cheeses.
