Hartington Creamery’s English Waxed Rind Stilton is an award-winning example of one of Britain’s most celebrated blue cheeses. Handmade in the Derbyshire Dales, this Stilton comes from Hartington Creamery, the smallest and only fully artisan producer of Stilton in the world. Crafted using local milk at the historic Pikehall Farm creamery, the cheese is carefully pierced and matured for around nine weeks, allowing its signature blue veining to develop and creating a beautifully balanced texture and flavor.
The result is a rich, creamy Stilton with a distinctive tang and complex depth. Its crumbly yet smooth paste delivers bold blue cheese character with notes of butter, gentle earthiness, and a lingering savory finish. The waxed rind helps protect the cheese as it matures, preserving its creamy interior and refined balance of saltiness and richness.
Produced under the strict licensing of the Stilton Makers Association and protected by UK Designated Origin status, Hartington Stilton represents one of the most traditional expressions of this iconic cheese. Its robust yet elegant flavor makes it a natural centerpiece for cheese boards, while also performing beautifully melted into sauces or served alongside fruit.
