The literal translation of Creme Brulee is "burnt cream." In essence, this dessert is a chilled, stirred custard with a carmerlized sugar topping. The caramelized topping is brittle, offering a textural contrast to the smooth, creamy custard beneath. This particular mix is made by the Oetker Company of Ontario, Canada. We were most impressed by its quality and scrumptious flavor, and its ease of preparation.
