Made according to a classic French recipe, these blinis are ideal for serving caviar, with a flavor that’s mild enough to not overpower the delicate roe and sturdy enough to hold up all your desired toppings. And their uses extend far beyond caviar: Top with salmon, hummus, cheese, or anything else you desire! They’re ready-to-eat, but even better when warmed slightly in the oven.
Though based in Southern California, Michel de France traces its roots to Brittany, France, the childhood home of founder Chef Michel, who grew up surrounded by crepes at every meal. Armed with family recipes and a passion for food, he brought the flavors of Brittany to California, where his crepes quickly gained a loyal following. As the first and oldest crepe company in the U.S., Michel de France has grown from a humble griddle to producing over 200,000 crepes a day, all still made using Michel’s original recipe. Today, his sons Erwan and Philippe carry on his legacy, innovating and expanding the brand with the same love for crepes that started it all.
