Balsamic Vinegar of Modena is produced with grapes of seven specific varieties: Lambrusco, Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Albana, Ancellotta Fortana and Montuni. While the Trebbiano, Sangiovese and others have origins even outside the territory of Modena, Lambrusco is the only one native to Modena and is closely connected with the history, culture and food traditions typical of the Emilian city.
This Balsamic is ideal for hard cheese, grilled vegetables and ice-cream. Add as final touch to first courses like risotto, ravioli, potato gnocchi.
This Balsamic has a pretty high density and an intense sweet taste. A well balanced level of acidity perfectly alternates the initial sweetness. The aftertaste is marked by intense cherry notes.
