Alfar La Maja Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a monovarietal Arbequina oil produced in the Mendavia area of Navarra, Spain. Made exclusively from Arbequina olives, this extra virgin olive oil offers a pure expression of the variety’s character, shaped by early harvest and careful, small-batch production.
The olives are picked at an early stage of ripeness, typically in late October or early November, and cold-pressed within 12 hours to preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. The result is a vibrant oil with pronounced fruity aromas, featuring notes of freshly cut grass, tomato, artichoke, green apple, banana, and wild fruits.
On the palate, it is smooth and balanced, with mild bitterness, gentle spice, and a soft, slightly sweet finish. Its refined profile makes it especially well suited for salads, grilled vegetables, fish dishes, vinaigrettes, and sauces, where its fresh, green character can shine.
