Entremeses are a traditional holiday treat in Spain, and refer to the platters of cured meat served at the start of Christmas dinner. Not only does our festive collection include the very best chorizo and lomo, crafted from prized Iberian pigs, we’ve added all the accompaniments needed to take a tapas spread over the top, from buttery marcona almonds to sweet membrillo paste. Feliz Navidad indeed! 

Fried & Salted Marcona Almonds by Prunita: Known as the "Queen of Almonds", marcona are sweeter, shorter, softer, and rounder than their California cousins, and are indigenous to Spain and highly prized. They’re always blanched and peeled, which makes them easier to eat. And when fried with sunflower oil and salted, they make a fantastic part of a tapas spread, paired with chunks of chorizo and manchego and sweet glasses of sherry.  

Don Juan Quince Paste (Membrillo): Handcrafted in Malaga, Spain, this sweet, candied paste is made from cooked-down quince; a honeyed relative of the apple and pear. It’s a traditional accompaniment to hard Spanish cheeses, such as buttery Manchego and aged Mahon. 

Manchego DOP: Produced in La Mancha in Central Spain, this true Manchego—Spain’s most famous cheese—is crafted from 100% sheep's milk. The animals tend to graze on rocky and dry land covered with wild herbs, which gives the firm, ivory-colored cheese its signature taste and aroma. 

Sliced Chorizo Iberico by Fermin: Imported from Spain, this sliced chorizo is made from the prized meat of Iberian hogs—raised by Fermin’s own family farm in Salamanca Spain. The sausage is spiced with smoked pimenton and garlic, then cured in drying sheds for at least a month, lending the chorizo its firm texture and exquisite aroma.

Lomo Iberico de Bellota by Fermin: This dry-cured pork loin is rubbed with smoked pimenton olive oil, garlic, nutmeg, and oregano, and crafted from Iberico hogs, which grazes exclusively on fallen acorns in Southwestern Spain. Swirled with high levels of flavorful natural fats and thinly sliced, this lomo is sure to be the star of any tapas platter!
