Established in 1981, by Ron and Diane Miller and her mother, Lillian Disney, the winery was named in honor of the Silverado Vineyard -- one of the first four in Stags Leap District to plant Cabernet in the 1960s.
Today, Silverado sustainably farms 360 acres across six estate vineyards in Napa Valley. Each vineyard played an important role in establishing the reputation of its appellation: Carneros, Coombsville, Yountville and Stags Leap District.
This collection has been curated to pair with the beautiful wines of Silverado Vineyards.
This collection includes:
- Julianna by Capriole Goat Cheese: Capriole's Julianna is a mild, semi-hard aged goat cheese dusted with Herbes de Provence and wildflowers. It melts beautifully and combines with flavors both sweet and savory. What began as an experimental variation of The Old Kentucky Tomme by Hungarian intern, Julianna Sedli, has become a Capriole success story. Aged 4-8 months, Julianna’s buttery, nutty, and slightly tart flavors develop under a natural rind of thyme, lavender, rosemary, and wildflowers that become an integral, but balanced, flavor component of the cheese. (7.5 oz)
- Trillium by Tulip Tree Creamery: A triple cream, bloomy-rind cheese inspired by classic French Camembert and Brie. It has a soft, buttery texture with rich smooth flavors and gentle lactic tones.Located on the northwest side of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tulip Tree Creamery was founded in 2014 by industry veterans Fons Smits and Laura Davenport. The couple have an extensive background in biology and dairy consulting and marketing and set out to create their own line of uniquely handcrafted artisan cheeses. Tulip Tree Creamery was founded on the simple idea of handcrafting traditional European cheeses with a uniquely American twist. (8 oz)
- Black Truffle Cheddar by Plymouth Artisan Cheese: Black Truffle is the delicate mingling of the Original Plymouth recipe sailed metaphorically to the shores of Tuscany. This pioneer is infused with real truffle morsels from Italy and touches of white truffle oil. The result here is a luscious slow-dance of flavors; a mellow and approachable cheese that is at once earthy, straightforward, sexy and smooth. (8 oz)
