Still family owned, this award winning mustard's flavor is like a cross between dijon and yellow mustard. A. Bauer has only ever made 2 mustards - original and with horseradish. Horseradish adds a pleasant zing to this classic base.

Current president, Bart J. Druery's great, great, grandfather August Bauer created unique recipes for Pure Prepared Mustard and Mustard with Horseradish in a shop on Metropolitan Avenue in Queens, N.Y. Popularity soared in 1931 when A. Bauer's Mustard earned the gold medal at the International Fancy Food Exposition in Paris. The family has continued making this beloved spicy brown condiment for generations of New Yorkers. They still win high honors including first place at Food Distribution Magazine's Mustard Mania.
