Morgenster is an estate bottled and produced extra virgin olive oil from Stellenbosch, South Africa. Located in the heart of the rich, wine growing region, the Morgenster Estate's award winning oil contains no additives or preservatives and is neither filtered nor refined. Made with a blend of 14 Italian varieties of olives, this oil imparts flavors of artichokes, green apples, and almonds and is followed by a long, peppery finish. It is the first South African oil to receive the prestigious L'Orciolo d'Oro Award and also scored an amazing 97 points in both the 2010 and 2011 editions of Flos Olei. (The L'Orciolo d'Oro Award was started as a competition to judge the best Italian produced oils and was opened up to international oils in 1999.)

Morgenster is the only extra virgin olive oil from South Africa - the origin and terroir that produces some of the world's greatest wines. Located in the Stellenbosch region, the epicenter of South African wine production, Morgenster has the advantage of working closely with wine experts and horticulturalists, as is the case with so many of the world's greatest oils. This allows them to expertly care for their trees, to produce the finest oil on harvest day. Drizzle this fabulous oil over beans, couscous, fish, or grilled vegetables.

How We Ship

FreshWave Packaging

Our products are always shipped so they will arrive at your door in optimal condition! We’ve carefully selected packaging options that have minimal impact on the environment without compromising on food safety or quality. 

For perishable orders, we line our shipping boxes with Tempguard - a unique, padded insulator made of 100% pre-consumer recycled paper material. We further control the temperature with recycled kraft paper fill and non-toxic frozen gel packs. In the summer months, we may include dry ice to ensure fresh delivery in very hot weather.

Note: Please join our efforts to be mindful of our environment and extend the life-cycle of our packaging, by recycling your shipping box, Tempguard liner, and kraft fill (all 100% curbside recyclable!). Store the gel packs in your freezer and reuse to keep your next picnic or road trip fare cool.
